Porto's Telles is one of the most talented and prolific goal scorers in Portuguese football history. Born on October 28, 1975, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Telles began his career at Santos, where he made his professional debut in 1994.
Telles quickly established himself as one of the best strikers in South America, scoring 66 goals in 90 appearances for Santos between 1994 and 1998. In 1998, he moved to Porto, where he would spend the next decade of his career.
At Porto, Telles was part of some of the most successful teams in Portuguese football history, helping them win four consecutive Liga dos Campeões titles (1998-2001) and three consecutive Primeira Liga titles (2002-2004). During this time, he scored a total of 137 goals in 248 appearances for Porto.
